At Azani Pro Dog Training, we focus on positive reinforcement techniques to achieve lasting results. While we are not strictly “positive reinforcement only,” we incorporate light leash corrections, body language communication, and rewards like toys, treats, and praise to guide dogs effectively. Our goal is to create well-behaved companions who respond to hand signals, voice commands, and environmental cues without relying on additional tools or devices.

We offer a range of tailored programs, including a lifetime training membership, 30-day boarding school programs for obedience and aggressive dog rehab, 15-day intermediate obedience training, 10-day foundation obedience training, group classes, private lessons, and more. Each program is designed to meet the unique needs of dogs and their families.

Azani Pro is led by experienced trainers like Maddy Thomas, who is an accredited member of NADOI and IACP with a rich background in AKC competitions and canine behavior. Our scientifically backed methods ensure a high-quality training experience. We prioritize building strong, lasting bonds between dogs and their families, creating confident, well-mannered companions.

Our primary location is in Edmond, Oklahoma, and we serve clients within a 40-mile radius for in-home lessons. Additionally, we provide nationwide access to our programs through virtual consultations and boarding school services. Group classes, private lessons, and other services are available locally.

Our pricing varies depending on the program. For example, our 10-day foundation obedience program is $1,600, the 15-day intermediate program is $2,000, and the 30-day obedience training program starts at $3,000. We also offer a lifetime membership for $10,000, which includes ongoing access to training resources and annual boarding school sessions. Discounts are available for military members, multiple dogs, and Petland customers.

Maddy’s passion for working with dogs began at the age of 10, when she started competing in AKC agility with her Beagle. Her love for animal behavior continued to grow, leading her to open a non-profit dog rescue. During her time running the rescue, Maddy gained invaluable insights into why dogs were relinquished to shelters, deepening her understanding of canine behavior. With a desire to prevent dogs from entering shelters, she shifted her focus to training and addressing behavioral issues, aiming to keep dogs in loving homes. Maddy’s experience extends beyond domestic dogs—she has also worked with wolves, wolf hybrids, and other exotic animals at a sanctuary, further enriching her knowledge of animal behavior and the relationship between humans and animals. This unique experience has shaped her holistic approach to training, emphasizing communication and mutual understanding. In 2013, after working for a dog training franchise and observing a lack of education provided to both trainers and clients, Maddy founded Azani Pro Dog Training. Her mission is to ensure that every client and dog receives the highest level of training and education, allowing them to build strong, lasting bonds and live their lives together to the fullest.
